Welcome to the Australis Stories.
The Australis Storybook Series, is written in the reading age range of 6 to 13 years. It is designed to allow the teaching of reading using the Neurological Impress Method.

This series is produced by the School of the Heart and is completely free of charge to be used to improve students’ reading skills.
To Use the Neurological Impress method the student:
- Simultaneously listens and silently reads along with the story.
- Reads along with the story out aloud keeping up with the sound.
(This step can be repeated as often as necessary.)
- Reads the story aloud without help from the sound when s/he feels ready.
The accompanying exercises and activities can then be completed.
Where possible headphones should be used to eliminate background noise and distractions and to maximize the learning potential of the programme especially for students with attention disorders. The neurological impress method combines listening, reading and speaking making it an extremely powerful and effective learning method. It is so intense that it should not be prolonged once a student genuinely tires.
